I don't think those push on type joints are safe. When you use the crimping tool the copper in the crimp joint is compressed around the wire so giving a good deal of surface to surface contact between the outer copper cylinder in the crimp to the wire. In the pushfit type there is only a miniscule amount of surfce to surface contact. So if you are using a peice of equipment with a heavy load such as a kettle or electric fire, then all the current has to pass through a small amount of connected metal. Result - they will heat up.

One other thing. Why is it that the original rose fitting had multiple same color wires, but you've essentially funneled them into 1 per color? Why don't all newbuild house lights just have the 1 wire per color?

How can you tell exactly which wire is and does what? They obviously don't have writing or symbols on them? For example, there may be 3 of the same colored wire, but the way you explained it is that each individual wire has a specific purpose? If I am over thinking this, then I think you need to simplify how you're explaining this for the first timers of changing or upgrading a ceiling light fixture.

You never run cable along the wall like that because it is open to being damaged. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER DO THIS? This is a very bad practice. I always learned as an apprentice to only do cabling vertically then either through the ceiling void and/or under the floor. This breaks all the rules in my book. If this cable zoning is now permitting this practice in the IEE Regs then it’s the biggest mistake they’ve ever made. ❌❌❌❌❌

Can i use quickwire push clip boxes instead of the wago grey box in your other spotlight video to power the spotlight chain instead of using the orange connector switches then storing them in the wago grey clip box
